Bryan Wade Byrd was born to Jim and Lucille Byrd on May 27th 1972 in Burkesville, KY.
Bryan went home to be with Jesus October 18th 2023, surrounded by his loving family,
Bryan was an eclectic soul. He worked as a potter and found artist. He was so passionate about creating unique works of art that were created from items people had thrown away. He could find the beauty in “Junk”.
He spent most of his life in Louisville, KY exploring museums and creating his beautiful works of art. If he wasn’t creating, he was serving at some of the finest restaurants Louisville had to offer. His work ethic and his loving heart had his customers asking for him by name. He was deeply loved by both his clients and customers.
After he got sick in 2010, he spent the rest of his life spreading love and joy as well as giving out flowers to his care givers and anyone he had contact with. Bryan’s older brother always says, “change is the only constant in life”. Bryan handled every change with grace, a smile and a “I love you” in sign language.
He endured several difficult changes in his 13 year battle. He was a true warrior and made the best out of every situation.
Bryan is survived by his parents, Jim and Lucille Byrd, brother Terry Byrd and wife Amy; Three nieces and nephews, Haley Mueller (Cory), Macy Mitchell (Grant), and Carson Byrd. Along with grandnieces, Katherine and Grace and grandnephew, Grant Edward. He was loved and cherished by many aunts, uncle and cousins on the Honeycutt and Byrd sides.
Burial will be in Peolia Cemetery.
