Clara Rachel Jones

Clara Rachel Jones, Age 94 of Paris, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at her residence. She was born on September 5, 1929, in Albany, KY, to the late Hobson and Ruby Gibbons Brown. She was married on April 20, 1946 to Cecil Jones, who preceded her in death on October 16, 1982.

She is survived by her seven children, Jerry (Brenda) Jones of Albany, KY, Bobbie (Bob) Williams of Peru, IN, Sissy Johnson of Fortville, IN, Betty (Dennis) Irby of Big Sandy, TN, Bill Jones of Paris, TN, Judy (Bob) Ledlow of Paris, TN, and Ann (Tony) AuBuchon of Paris, TN; two sisters, Irene Buster of Anderson, IN, and Joyce Anderson of Monticello, KY;  and one brother, William Brown of Albany, KY. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren, along with good friends, Judy Roberts and Debbie Justice.

In addition to her parents & husband, she was also preceded in death by a son in infancy, Samuel Jones; one sister, Florene Jones; and seven brothers, Arthur Brown, Neat Brown, Carl Brown, Roy Brown, George Brown, David Brown, and Jim Jones. 

She was a homemaker most of her life and member of Ray of Hope Christian Fellowship in Paris. Rachel loved running around & spending time with her friends.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
