David Ray Brumley

David Ray Brumley, 78 born June 21, 1947 in Albany, KY. He was called to his Heavenly home on November 21, 2025 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggles and ultimately gave him peace.

David was blessed with a large and loving family. He married the love of his life Patricia C. Walls, on May 26, 1985 in Albany, KY in which they brought one child into the world that he loved dearly. He retired from the City of Louisville Parks Department. He loved to spend time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was also an avid sports fan who loved cheering on his UofL Cardinals.

David is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Oleta (Buster) Brumley. His grandparents Roe and Molly Brumley and James and Lilly Buster. Two brothers James Ralph and Gary Gerald Brumley. He was survived by his loving wife of 40 years Patricia C. Brumley. His son Brian (Lauren) Brumley. His grandson James Michael Brumley. His sisters Lois Vineyard, Barbara LaVoy and Judy Kurtsinger. As well as several nieces and nephews.

David will be buried at Pine Grove Cemetery following his funeral service at Talbott Funeral Home on November 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will also be held at Talbott Funeral Home on November 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, support and prayers through these difficult times.
