Deborah Covey

Deborah Covey, 66, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of Shelbyville First Baptist Church. She had been a Librarian at Wright Elementary and loved to spend her spare time reading. Deborah also enjoyed attending bible study.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Covey & Gladys Covey Foster (J.T.); and her brothers, Jeff & Billy Covey.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Peggy Covey and Julie Covey; her nieces and nephews, Heather Scott (Ted), Renska Martin (Mckain), Jennifer Cunningham (Harrison), John Covey, Max Covey, Justin Covey; and her great nieces, Hadley Scott and Marley Martin.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M. (EDT) ON FRIDAY, MAY 8, 2026 AT THE SHELBYVILLE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH. VISITATION WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 5 - 8 P.M. (EDT) ON THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2026 AT THE SHANNON FUNERAL HOME IN SHELBYVILLE, KENTUCKY. BURIAL WILL TAKE PLACE AT 2:00 P.M. (CDT) AT THE OAK GROVE CEMETERY IN ALBANY, KENTUCKY.
