Donnie "Don" Ray Sexton, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2026.
Born on November 16, 1950, to the late Jessie Sexton and Pauline Guffey, Don lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family.
Don retired as a plant manager in the corrugated box industry after many years of dedicated service. Those who knew him knew he wasn't afraid of hard work and was not one to back down from a challenge. Gifted with his hands, he could build, repair, or create just about anything.
Known for his easygoing sense of humor, Don brought laughter to those around him. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, camping, grilling, and smoking meats.
More than anything, Don loved his family. He shared a lifetime of love with his beloved wife, Deborah, whose special song together was "Islands in the Stream." His greatest joy was watching his children and grandchildren grow.
Don leaves behind his loving wife, Deborah Sexton; his children, Donnie (Jennifer) Sexton, Michelle (Tommy) Turner, Anthony (Angela) Bowersock, and Amanda (John) Vale; his grandchildren, Tiffany (Jacob), Kalli, Ashley (Jeremy), Calah, Kyleigh, Maera, Ayden, Aubrey, and Kayley; his great-grandchildren, Sybil, Tanner, Zeke, Jayce, Elizabeth, Taylor, Evan, Everleigh, Harmony, Judah, and Kylar; his brothers, Terry Sexton and Mike Patton; and nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Jessie Sexton and Pauline Guffey, Don was preceded in death by his infant sister, Barbara, and other loved ones who welcomed him before.
While Don will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the things he built, the laughter he shared, and, most importantly, in the family he loved so completely. His strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion will never be forgotten.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
