Doris E. (Dewar) Sampson, 84 years, 4months & 17 days of Albany, KY. was called to Heaven at 4:20 p.m. on December 6th 2022, Born on July 19th, 1938 to the late Albert & Julia (Lucas) Dewar. Raised with Christian morals, she attended Upward Church in Byrdstown Tn. She married young at the age of 18 to James (Jim) L. Sampson on September 7th, 1956. A wonderful cook & loving nurturer, she loved to reminisce and share stories of the past. Most of all, Doris selflessly gave her love & passion for her Lord & Savior to anyone & everyone. She was a child of the King and made sure everyone knew just that. Along with her parents, Doris was preceded in death by two sons; James Michael Sampson & Jeffery Alan Sampson, Daughter In Law, Joyce Elaine (Thomas) Sampson and Great Granddaughter Grace Ann Martin, all her siblings, Bob, Al, Herman, David Dewar, Hazel (Dewar) Ellis & Brenda (Dewar) Purvis.

Doris is survived by her husband, James L. (Jim) Sampson, 3 sons; Timothy, Randy (wife, Danita), James A. (Tony) (wife, Valerie) Sampson, 1 daughter Julia (husband Tony) Sell & Daughter In Law Terry Sampson. Survived and Blessed by 8 Grandchildren, Jennifer (husband Jason) Tackett, Tyler (wife Elizabeth) Martin, Erika Sampson, Krista Sampson, Jalen (husband Dipesh) Soma, Chelsea (husband Steven) Conner, Cydney Sampson & Jazzton (wife London) Sell. Survived and double Blessed by 12 + Great Grandchildren, Jonathan and Chandler (wife Morgan) Tackett, Khloe Santerre, Korbin Ely, Cohen Catron, Grady & Grant Martin, Rhett & Maya Soma, Sutton, Summit, Rowen & Baby Ramsey Blake Conner on the way. 1 triple Blessing, Great Great-Grandchild Collin Tackett. As well as several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & In-Laws.

In remembrance of Doris's lifetime service to God, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to:

Upward Church PO Box 729 Byrdstown, TN 38546, as their mission was so important to her.

Doris had chosen Cremation to rest alongside her two sons, James Michael & Jeffrey Alan. A celebration of life will be held at Upward Church in Byrdstown, TN at a date to be determined, and a personal celebration of life will be held in Indiana at a later date.
