Edith Jean Bowlin

Edith Jean Bowlin, age 82, of Albany passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. She was the daughter of the late John and Bessie Moreland. She was also preceded in death by 1 son, Roger Dale Bowlin and 7 siblings, Willie Moreland, Jesse Moreland, Johnny Moreland, Frank Moreland, Travis Moreland, Arlee Ferguson, and Mary Dean Moreland.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Bowlin whom she wed on July 7, 1962; 4 children, Penny (Darolyn) Albertson, Cathy (Jesse) Shelton, Libby Burton, and Christy (Brian) Cook; 8 grandchildren, Mikey Ferrill, Kelly Burchett, Kimber Thompson, Amanda Matika, Jesse Shelton Jr., Travis Shelton, Rebekah Cardinale, and Coleman Janes; 1 sister, Kathy Stockton; and 1 special nephew, John Wayne Moreland. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Highway Cemetery.
