Gwendalyn "Gwen" Williams

Gwendalyn (Gwen) Williams, 85 a longtime resident of Albany, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2nd at the Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Gwen was born on December 2, 1940 in Albany, KY to Troy and Daisy Tompkins. Gwen met the love of her life Bobby Williams in 1960 at the local “Shirt Factory.” Bobby and Gwen celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past September.

Gwen dedicated her life to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was an active member of Peolia Church. Gwen deeply loved and cherished her family and enjoyed cooking her delicious biscuits and gravy for them.

She and Bobby raised two sons in Muncie, IN before moving back to Albany. Gwen loved being able to FaceTime her boys, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband Bobby, sons Jeff (Sandi) Williams, Allen (Sherrie) Williams, her siblings Eddie and Tony Tompkins, five granddaughters and six great grand children.

Gwen is proceeded in death by her mother and father and six brothers and sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2026 AT 11:00 AM AT TALBOTT FUNERAL HOME. VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, JANUARY 5, 2026 FROM 5:00 - 8:00 PM AT TALBOTT FUNERAL HOME AND WILL CONTINUE ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2026 AT 9:00 AM AT  UNTIL TIME OF THE SERVICE AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

Burial will be in Williams Chapel Cemetery.
