Harvey Eugene Melton "Gene", age 92, of Albany passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was the son of the late Elmer Clyde and Rosie Melton. He was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Kristen Leann Melton; 1 sister, Pauline Reeves; and 1 brother, Harley Melton.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Gina (Chris) Poore; 1 son, Mark Melton; 2 grandchildren, Nickolas Poore and Zackary Poore; 2 nephews, Mike Reeves and David (Delora) Reeves; 1 great-nephew, Brent (Cortney) Reeves; and 4 great-great-nieces and -nephews.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War.
He was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Memorial Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
