Helen was a beautician by trade and worked hard her entire life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed talking about the Bible. She was gifted at sewing and crocheting. Helen also enjoyed writing poetry and sending cards to several people in the community. Later in life, She enjoyed listening to classic country music, attending Just Family Adult Center and looking at flowers. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and prayed for them daily. Helen left a legacy of her love for Jesus Christ and her church First Baptist Church of Albany. Helen was most proud of her Jail ministry. Above all things, she treated others with kindness regardless of their social status.
She shared the gospel often to women in her beauty shop and to those incarcerated.
She was kind to others and personified the Golden Rule. Helen lived a life of humility and cared more for others than herself. We were blessed to have her as a mother. She leaves a great void in our lives.
