Larry Dean Marcum, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Claude and Eva Marcum and the devoted husband of the late Kathy Marcum. Larry's life was marked by enduring love and support for his family, which he cherished deeply.

In addition to his parents and wife, Larry was preceded in death by 9 siblings: Shirley Shelton, Wendell Marcum, Glyn Marcum, Jim Marcum, Geneva Childers, Bonnie Hatfield, Gwen Marcum, Barbara Johnson, and Joann Verdung. He was also preceded in death by 1 niece and 1 nephew.

Larry is survived by his beloved daughter, Angela (Patrick) Langley; his two cherished grandchildren, MaKenna Langley and Dylan Langley; and five bonus grandchildren, whom he lovingly claimed as his own—DJ, Hannah, Seth, Christian, and Logan. He is also remembered by his brother, Richard (Becky) Marcum, along with his two grand-dogs, Remington and Bentley, who brought joy to his life.

An esteemed member of the community, Larry was a Kentucky Colonel. Larry was also a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. He was a devoted member at the Otter Creek Masonic Lodge #530 as well as being a member of the Central Kentucky Electrical Association.

Larry's legacy of commitment to his family and community will be cherished by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery with Military Honors.
