Lillian Walena Boils Melton
Born Monday, January 8, 1940.
Went home to be with Jesus Sunday, February 15, 2026.
Member of the Highway Nazarene Church, devout conservative Christian, prayer warrior, Sunday School teacher, Nazarene Youth International President, Church secretary, Missionary President and various other roles in the Nazarene Church. Dedicated employee and retiree of Lake Cumberland Head Start. She loved God, her family and serving others.
Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Frank Melton, parents Mary Edith Huckelby Boils and Burley Bledsoe Boils, brothers Ellis Ray, Cletis, William “Fuzz”, Cliff, Bob, Frankie & Ralph Boils, sisters Mary Elizabeth Boils and Reba Boils Melton, brothers-in-law Eugene Melton, Doug Thacker, RA Lee and Phil Linn, sisters-in-law Betty Gibson Boils, Sue Foster Albertson, Sue Rigney Boils, Betty Albertson Boils and Phyllis Moreland Boils.
Survived by one brother Roger Boils, two sisters Sue (Gary Don) Fletcher and Helen Thacker, and two sisters-in-law Geneva Conner Boils and Connie Duvall Boils, children Lane (Karen) Melton, Donna (Gary) Wheat, Teresa (Sid) Scott and Ammie (Chris) Marcum, grandchildren Jennifer (Duane) Hess, Emily (James) Russell, Megan (Michael) Rains, Dannielle (Brad) Bowden and Lex Marcum, great grandchildren Sidney Hess, Saylor Hess, Karly Rains, Kamryn Rains, Annie Brady and Mitchell Rich, and a host of special nieces and nephews, church family, friends, neighbors, and special caregivers Denia Anderson, Sheila Key Burchett and Cindy Huddleston.
Burial will be in Memorial Hill Cemetery.
