Martha Louise Pendleton Atwell

Martha Louise Pendleton Atwell was born on March 11, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky to Clarence Everette Pendleton and Sue Elizabeth Cowherd Pendleton and departed this life on August 18, 2025 at Clinton County Care and Rehab reaching the age of 89 years old.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 9 siblings, Mary Pendleton, Robert Pendleton, Hugh Pendleton, Catherine Pendleton Learned, Irene Pendleton Simon, Paul Pendleton, Coy Pendleton, Corine Pendleton Walker, Johnny Pendleton. She was also preceded in death by 1 grandson, Charles Anthony Claborn II.

Martha is survived by her husband, Rev. Bobby Atwell to whom she was married to for 64 1/2 years, her 3 daughters, Carol (Charles) Claborn, Louise Britt, Ruthie Sue Atwell, and 5 grandchildren, Nicole (Neil) Fulton, Nathan (Jessica) Britt, Bradley (Kandace) Claborn, Wesley (Tory-Leigh) Claborn, and Adam (Samantha) Britt. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, Michael Fulton, Braden Fulton, Thorin Britt, Crosby Britt, Dani Britt, and Harper Claborn.

She was a faithful Christian and was a devoted member of Peolia Church where her faith was a guiding light to all those around her.

Martha's life was filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
