MINNIE HULL

Minnie Hull, age 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Born on August 7, 1929, Minnie lived a long life devoted to her family and her community.

Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Hull, and her daughter, Patsy, her son-in-law, Ed Decker, and 3 siblings, Tom (Lucille) Flowers, Charles (Phyllis) Flowers, and Ed (Faye) Flowers.

Together, Minnie and Vernon owned and operated businesses in Albany over the years. She genuinely enjoyed serving her friends and neighbors through their businesses and treasured the relationships they built within the community.

Minnie found great happiness in gardening, canning, and sewing. Whether she was creating handmade dolls, quilts, crocheting or making her grandchildren her famous egg sandwiches, she found joy in living a simple life.

Above all else, Minnie’s greatest delight was her family, especially her four grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Decker, her son, David Hull (Becky), her grandchildren, James Austin Cecil, Jr. (Amy), Vernon Lee Cecil, Laura Hull, and Matthew Hull (Dayna); and eight great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Talbott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Memorial Hill Cemetery.
