Nelda Martin Sawyers

Nelda Martin Sawyers, age 84, of Albany passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Willie E. and Vocal Martin. She was the wife of the late Kendrick Paul Sawyers. She was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Lori Sawyers Myers.

She is survived by 1 son, Kent (Michelle) Sawyers; 2 daughters, Lisa (Larry) Leslie and Jana (Stephen) Daniel; 3 sisters, Wilda Cope, Janice Garrett, and Freeda Huddleston; and 4 grandchildren, Zach, Ethan, and Emily Sawyers and Rachel Sawyers Collins. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Rose of Sharon Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
