Tommy was a successful businessman. He owned and operated Jones Restaurant both in Albany, KY and Burkesville KY, Sam’s Express Fast Food in Burkesville, Twin Lakes Convenient Storage and The Storage Place in Albany KY. Tommy was famous for making delicious pies, chicken & dumplings, and all sorts of homemade meals at the restaurants.

Tommy’s biggest pride was loving his wife, Debbie Jones and raising his 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. He enjoyed family time above everything else. He was gifted at taking care of his family, and taking care of other people by using his gift of cooking. Tommy was a gifted self-taught cook. He cooked everyday at the restaurants and continued cooking even after retirement, delivering meals to family and church friends around Clinton County.

After he closed the restaurants, he was very active in maintaining his health. He learned to swim at 60 years old and was an avid swimmer, swimming a mile everyday at the Wellness Center in Albany. He also walked several miles each day and completed the 5K at the Foothills Festival several times, most recently last October. He also enjoyed camping, going often to Kendall Campground below Wolf Creek Dam with his wife and family.

Tommy has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. He was a quiet person with a generous heart who helped anyone who needed it. He loved the Lord and was a faithful Christian man. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stony Point Baptist Church, where he was a member for over 40 years.

Burial will be in Memorial Hill Cemetery.
