Preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Bledsoe Marcum.  Survived by 1 daughter, Melinda Jane Batson, 1 sister, Wandalee Perdue, and 1 granddaughter, Amanda Dianne Batson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Also preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret (Ola) Jones, Frank (Helen) Marcum, Fred (Leah) Marcum, Lucille (Arnold) Clark, Vivian (Howard) Massengale, and Delmer (Nannie) Marcum).
